Valley Wide Cooperative in Jerome, ID is seeking a Retail Store Lead for a full-time, on-site role. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Two years of retail experience preferred.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
• Ability to multitask and set priorities based on importance.
• Ability to communicate with proper telephone etiquette.
• Must be a strong team player and handle pressure.
• Ability to properly handle money, give change and record transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with all transactions for purchases or returns.
• Ensure transactions are processed promptly and accurately.
• Train new employees and support manager in identifying training needs.
• Supervise checkout stations regularly.
• Provide expertise in store operations and product knowledge.
• Use exceptional customer service and sales skills to connect customers with the right product.
• Maintain knowledge of all store departments and assist with complex transactions.
• Support loss prevention efforts through proactive customer service.
• Oversee employee productivity, breaks, and daily scheduling; report performance issues to management.
• Assign duties and direct workflow while ensuring policies and safety standards.
