Job summary

Rural King is looking for a Sales Consultant to provide knowledgeable sales support across agricultural, power equipment, farm, lawn and garden, tools, and home essentials. You will help customers find the right products while supporting sales, financing, special orders, and store operations.

You will build relationships through exceptional service, upselling, and cross-selling, while maintaining store presentation and assisting with stock, signage, and customer follow-up.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; agriculture-related education/certs preferred.
• Previous sales, customer service, retail, agricultural or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, active listening, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to recommend solutions based on customer needs and sales goals.
• Basic computer skills; ability to use POS, inventory systems and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs, applications, and budget to recommend products.
• Provide product information, explain features, and conduct demonstrations.
• Build relationships through exceptional service, follow-up and issue resolution.
• Use upselling and cross-selling to support sales goals and store offers.
• Provide product expertise across power equipment, farm equipment, tools, and more.
• Assist with financing and required documentation for purchases.
• Process store stock and customer special orders; assist with receiving and displays.
• Maintain sales floor presentation and help customers locate products.
