Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to support a single farm or a small group, reporting to Production Operations. You will perform minor maintenance and repairs on swine facilities and equipment, ensuring safe, bio-secure operations.

Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, inventory management, and timely repair of systems such as plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and waterlines. Weekend on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to bio-security, animal wellbeing, and safety policies; report violations.
• Track repairs and materials using the ISF tools ticket system.
• Demonstrate general trade knowledge across plumbing, electrical, carpentry and welding.
• Prioritize maintenance items with emphasis on animal welfare and containment.
• Perform on-site maintenance and minor repairs of swine facilities and equipment.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and maintain on-site parts inventory.
• Operate heavy machinery when needed and assist with seasonal site tasks.
• Work weekends for emergency maintenance as required.
