Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking a dedicated on-site Maintenance Technician to oversee repairs on a single farm or a small group of facilities. You will report to Production Operations leadership and perform routine maintenance on swine facilities and equipment.

Key duties include following bio-security and animal wellbeing policies, using the ISF Tools system to log repairs, and prioritizing tasks to safeguard animal welfare. Weekend on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and repairs of swine facilities and equipment.
• Adhere to Iowa Select Farms bio-security, animal wellbeing, and safety policies.
• Use the ISF Tools work ticket system to track repairs and materials.
• Prioritize maintenance tasks with emphasis on animal welfare (feed, water, ventilation).
• Occasionally operate heavy machinery (Backhoe, Tractors, Snow blowers, etc.).
• Assist in seasonal tasks such as snow removal, mowing and weed control.
• Maintain on-site parts inventory and ensure clean, safe work areas.
