Job summary

Iowa Select Farms is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician to support a specific farm or small set of facilities. You will perform minor maintenance and repairs on swine facilities and equipment, ensuring bio-security and animal well-being policies are followed.

You will track repairs in the Tools system, prioritize tasks, and assist with preventive maintenance, inventory, and on-site safety. Weekend on-call and strong teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• Maintenance trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and welding.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to ISF bio-security policy and report violations to management.
• Adhere to ISF animal wellbeing policy and report violations to management.
• Adhere to ISF safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
• Track repairs and materials in the ISF Tools system.
• Prioritize maintenance items with focus on animal welfare items (feed, water, ventilation).
• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment.
• Maintain on-site parts inventory as needed.
• Repair/replacement of curtain systems, penning, feedline and ventilation systems, waterlines, roofing, lighting, and HVAC.
