FMNE Insurance Company seeks a Farm Field Inspection Specialist to conduct on-site inspections of farm properties, assess risk, verify underwriting information, and advise on appropriate actions for underwriters and agents. This role supports the Reunderwriting department from Kearney, Norfolk, or Columbus districts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Agribusiness, Animal Science, Risk Management, Insurance, or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in farm insurance underwriting, agricultural operations, loss control, or property inspections.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel extensively within Nebraska.
• Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and mobile inspection technology; experience interpreting aerial imagery and property data.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support underwriters and agents on farm property exposures.
• Identify policies for reunderwriting inspections and partner on large farm risks.
• Conduct on-site inspections; evaluate dwellings, buildings, equipment, and liability exposures.
• Prepare inspection reports with findings and recommendations for insurance.
• Educate policyholders and agents on risk mitigation and loss-control improvements.
• Maintain inspection schedules and manage field territory to maximize productivity.
• Complete inspection documentation within required timelines.
