Job summary

Miraval Austin Resort and Spa is seeking an Assistant Farm Manager to lead daily farm and equine operations within the Integrative Wellbeing Department. You will oversee staffing, care of horses, and production supporting the resort’s restaurant and spa, while ensuring sustainable, regenerative practices.

You will collaborate with hospitality and wellbeing teams to design guest experiences and classes, aligning farm activities with Miraval’s mission of balance and mindful living.

Qualifications

• At least five years in a leadership or operational management role in farming or ranch settings.
• Experience managing horses in rotational pasture preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day farm and equine operations, staffing and finances.
• Oversight of horse health, welfare, safety, and long-term planning.
• Train and support equine facilitators for guest interactions.
• Manage farm production for resort restaurant and spa.
• Maintain farm, ranch and guest-facing areas with routine upkeep.
• Lead sustainable vegetable production and animal housing operations.
• Develop farm experiences, classes, and private consultations.
• Engage with the local Central Texas farming community to model regenerative agriculture.
• Oversee farm and ranch property to support stewardship and guest experience.
• Collaborate with Integrative Wellbeing and resort departments to coordinate programming.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operations.
