Job description

Our mission is to create a model of a certified organic farm that nourishes our community and land. We believe true sustainability means caring for our soil, our employees, and our community with equal measures.

About the farm

The Farm at Our House (TFOH) is located in Brookeville, MD, on the edge of the county’s 90,000 acres agricultural reserve. At our farm we grow a wide range of vegetables, from both Eastern and Western cultures and sell our produce year round. We host a 200-member CSA program, attend 3 year round farmers markets, and provide vegetables to food assistance institutions. All produce we grow travels minimal distance to the end consumption or distribution point. We are USDA certified organic and certified Real Organic Project farm.

About the position

We are looking for hard working people with a passion for diversified organic farming to join our team to tend and harvest our crops to fill up to 2 positions for the remainder of the 2026 season and the entirety of the 2027 season.

The farm crew includes 4 - 6 full time people, and goes up to 10 - 12 people in the summer. We are a group of mostly young people who are fun and love what we do.

Over the course of the season, you will get opportunities to see everything from seed to sale including crop planning, field prepping, seeding, transplanting, weeding, cultivating, harvesting, post-harvest handling, storing, transporting, marketing, and delivering.
