Job summary

Premier Financial Search is seeking an experienced bookkeeper in California to manage the general ledger, daily transactions, and full cycle AP/AR for a farm operation.

You will support payroll, reconcile accounts monthly, and prepare reports for month-end close while coordinating with a CPA for year-end and agricultural program reporting. Farm/ranch bookkeeping experience is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience.
• Knowledge of general ledger and month-end close.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable and payroll support in a farm/ranch setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and record daily transactions accurately and on time.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor bills, customer invoices and collections follow-up.
• Reconcile bank, credit card and loan accounts every month.
• Track seasonal expenses such as seed, feed, fuel, equipment and labor, and code them to the right crops, fields or operations.
• Support payroll processing, including seasonal and hourly farm labor.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and help with month-end close.
• Work with the outside CPA on year-end, tax preparation and any agricultural program or grant reporting.
