Job summary

The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is seeking a Case Aide for the Phoenix area. You will support families and children through application assistance, case management support, and clerical help within DCS programs.

Under supervision, you will assist with home arrangements, child development guidance, and coordination with community resources. The role involves travel within-state and routine documentation duties, with benefits and retirement through the State of Arizona.

Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain clearance of the DCS Central Registry.
• Must obtain and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• In state travel is required as an essential function of the job; Driver’s License and insurance required; mileage reimbursed.
• All new State employees are subject to E-Verify.

Responsibilities

• Provides one on one instructions to DCS clients on home arrangement and child development; refers clients to community resources.
• Transports/escorts clients to scheduled appointments and documents case notes.
• Conducts parenting skills training classes for DCS clients; supervises visits between natural parents and children; documents case notes.
• Refers clients to community organizations to improve self sufficiency; participates in Foster Care Review Board meetings and trainings.
• Writes case dictation for case files; meets with participants to monitor progress with case plans.
• Participates in unit meetings and provides clerical support as needed.
• Other duties as assigned as related to the position.
