Job summary

Weld County Department of Human Services seeks a Family Time Worker I to support supervised family time sessions on-site, in the community and at clients' homes. This role emphasizes safety, education, and partnership with families to promote healthy parent-child relationships.

Active engagement includes coordinating visits, delivering interventions, and documenting progress. Schedule: Tue-Thu 10AM–7PM, Fri-Sat 8AM–5PM; in-person, with travel around Weld County.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with six months' experience in a public or private social services setting.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends to accommodate families.
• Must be able to travel within Weld County as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide monitored family time sessions on site, in the community, and in-home.
• Deliver in-the-moment interventions to protect child safety and adhere to FTC policies.
• Educate parents through structured curricula or informal interventions and modeling.
• Create goals with clients using strength-based engagement techniques.
• Develop rapport and learn family culture, identify dysfunctions and trauma impacts on child safety.
• Promote progress toward permanency and support placement planning.
• Document progress and participate in the treatment team with timely data entry.
