Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe is seeking a Transportation Support Specialist in Minnesota to assist clients in maintaining compliance with case plans by transporting to visits, medical appointments, and other services. The role also involves supporting program staff with daily operations and ensuring safety and confidentiality.

You will supervise family visitations, prepare detailed reports, manage vehicle maintenance, and assist with CW filing and reception duties.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and clearly understand detailed directions.
  • Must pass a criminal and social service background check.
  • Knowledge of confidentiality and data privacy laws.
  • Native American preference in accordance with policy.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in maintaining compliance with case plans by transporting to visits, medical appointments, court appearances, and other services.
  • Provide personal support by transporting clients to buy food, clothing, and essentials.
  • Assist children of all ages in vehicles with proper safety restraints and seats.
  • Supervise family visitation sessions and observe parent-child interactions.
  • Prepare detailed summaries of supervised visits and submit to Case Manager on time.
  • Inspect program vehicles before/after transports; document conditions.
  • Complete daily vehicle reports and bi-weekly car detailing of program vehicles.
  • Create new client case files per CW procedures within 3 business days.
  • Maintain CW file room and adhere to file retention policies.
  • Manage reception desk in the absence of the receptionist; greet visitors and route inquiries.
  • Handle department mail securely and maintain confidentiality.
