Job summary

Children & Families of Iowa is seeking a Family Support Worker to help children and families navigate trauma and life challenges, providing guidance, transportation, and supervised family interactions.

You will collaborate with parents, children, foster families, and other professionals to keep families safe, supported, and connected, while completing accurate case documentation and coordinating meetings with the FCS team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in human services with children and/or dependent adults.
• Preferred: two-year or four-year degree in related field can be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for families and children as needed.
• Facilitate and supervise family interactions.
• Provide crisis intervention and support services.
• Coordinate and schedule meetings between families and FCS team members.
• Complete accurate and timely case documentation.
• Collaborate with a team dedicated to supporting and strengthening families.
