Job summary

Action for Children in Central Ohio is seeking a compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our home visiting team. You will build long-term partnerships with families to support healthy child development, family resilience, and overall well-being, primarily through in-home visits.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Development, or a related field is required, with knowledge of early childhood development and ability to connect families with local resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Development, Early Childhood Education, or a related field.
• Experience with home visiting or family services preferred.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain regular home visits with families over a long-term period.
• Center services on each family’s strengths and needs.
• Promote healthy parent-child interactions and developmental milestones.
• Refer families to health, educational, and social resources.
• Maintain engagement with cultural sensitivity and persistence.
