Job summary

Lifesteps, Inc. is seeking a Family Support Specialist for a full-time position based in Beaver, PA. The specialist will coordinate services for mothers referred by Children and Youth Services and create personalized care plans. Responsibilities also include assessing infant safety and providing educational guidance to parents.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services and excellent communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. A comprehensive benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

Job description

Family Support Specialist – full-time position based in Beaver, PA.

The Family Support Specialist will coordinate enrollment and provide services to mothers referred by Children and Youth Services (CYS) in Beaver County. Responsibilities include creating and updating a Plan of Safe Care in collaboration with the mother; assessing infant safety and monitoring developmental stages; and offering guidance, education, and referrals to parents to achieve positive support outcomes. This is a full-time, Monday‑through‑Friday position, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and two (2) years of experience in a Human Services profession
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Current driver’s license and ability to travel for business using personal vehicle

Preferred:

• Knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed care, drug or alcohol counseling, or infant care
• Experience with family units in home‑based setting
