Job summary

Linn County Health seeks a Peer Support Specialist - Family Support to provide individualized, strengths-based, one-on-one guidance to families in the Child and Family Program. The role focuses on Wraparound and MRSS, supporting families where they are and helping them set and reach personal recovery goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with reading and writing proficiency.
• Family Support Specialist Certificate from Oregon Health Authority (OHA).
• Clear criminal history/background check.
• Current Oregon driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Knowledge of community resources for Youth and Families.
• Lived experience in mental health and/or substance use recovery.
• Minimum 2 years sober.

Responsibilities

• Share recovery stories to inspire and support individuals and families.
• Provide problem-solving support for reintegration into the community.
• Advise on housing, employment, education, transportation, and other resources.
• Provide navigation and coaching to support wellbeing.
• Document services provided in the EHR and attend team meetings.
• Collaborate with clinicians, care coordinators, families and partner agencies.
