The Children’s Network of Hillsborough is seeking a Peer Support Specialist to guide and support families involved in the child welfare dependency system, helping navigate recovery from substance use challenges and connect to community resources.

This role combines fieldwork with in-office documentation, requiring strong communication, lived experience, and ability to drive to client locations within the community. Training and ongoing certification are part of the role.

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting families in recovery or child welfare settings.
• Ability to engage parents using lived experience and professional training.
• Ability to document accurately and timely in required systems.

Aufgaben

• Meet with families to provide information on community recovery resources.
• Engage parents using lived experience to support their recovery journey.
• Participate in staffings and case reviews to provide input.
• Provide timely documentation to the child welfare case manager.
• Conduct home visits to ensure engagement and progress.
• Recognize crisis situations and take appropriate action.
• Ensure accurate data entry and comply with FSFN documentation.
• Produce reports related to clients and program operations.
• Travel to meet clients at homes and community locations.
• Maintain in-office attendance when not in field duties.
• Must be able to drive and have reliable transportation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
