Job summary

Nebraska Children’s Home Society Inc. seeks a Family Support Specialist to educate, advocate, and provide individualized support to expecting and parenting individuals and families.

You will coordinate case management, connect clients with prenatal care, housing, childcare, and community resources, and promote healthy family outcomes. Responsibilities include developing service plans, delivering education on pregnancy, parenting, and child development, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field required.
• 1–3 years of case management or family support experience preferred.
• Experience with diverse populations and community resources required.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed, strengths-based, family-centered practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one case management and education to expecting and parenting families.
• Develop individualized service plans to promote healthy pregnancies and parenting.
• Assist participants in accessing prenatal care, housing, childcare, and other resources.
• Maintain confidential case records in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations.
• Offer adoption education and support when appropriate.
