Job summary

A Blessing of Hope Family Services is seeking Family Service Specialists to supervise visits in the client home, community settings, and on evenings/weekends in Nebraska. You will support families toward reunification, assist with parenting skills, document progress, and testify in court as needed.

Responsibilities include facilitating visits, transporting children, maintaining unbiased reports, and helping families access resources. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation with valid insurance and a driver’s license.
• Clear communication and strong documentation skills.
• Positive rapport with families to build trust and provide support.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred but not required.
• Experience with kids, crisis intervention, and knowledge of child welfare.
• Age at least 21 years; clean background and driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support Family Goals: Work with families and DHHS to reach goals set by the caseworker.
• Visit Facilitation & Transport: Facilitate visitations and provide safe transport to visits.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and unbiased reports of each visit.
• Resource Assistance: Help families find resources supporting reunification and well‑being.
