Job summary

Nebraska Children's Home Society is seeking a Family Support Specialist in Lincoln, NE to educate, advocate, and provide individualized support to pregnant and parenting individuals and families.

Through one-on-one case management, educational programming, and community collaboration, you will help participants make informed decisions about pregnancy, parenting, and adoption while building knowledge, confidence, and life skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1–3 years of experience in case management, family support, pregnancy services, parenting education, or related direct client services preferred.
• Experience with diverse populations and community resources preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide education, support, and case management to pregnant and parenting individuals and families.
• Assess participant strengths, needs, barriers and goals; develop individualized service plans.
• Coordinate referrals to prenatal care, housing, childcare, education, employment, transportation, financial assistance, and behavioral health services.
