Job summary

Urban Strategies, Inc. is seeking a Family Support Specialist III in Minneapolis to lead a team focused on promoting family stability and economic self-sufficiency. The role includes coordinating with project staff, conducting resident assessments, and ensuring access to essential community resources.

You will manage data in LEARN, produce progress reports for stakeholders, and advocate for residents while upholding confidentiality and strong collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master’s preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• 5 years of nonprofit or human services experience.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a car for work.
• Ability to handle privileged information confidentially.
• Strong independent and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead family support meetings to review complex issues and ensure residents receive necessary services.
• Coordinate with On-site Project Manager and service providers based on resident progress.
• Monitor data quality and completeness in LEARN.
• Prepare progress reports for stakeholders.
• Analyze data and develop strategies with the Senior Project Manager and management team.
• Conduct intake, assessments, and visits for residents.
• Assist residents in accessing community resources.
• Advocate for residents and coordinate service delivery.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of resident information.
• Enter and track resident data in LEARN.
• Maintain effective partnerships internally and externally.
• Participate in program meetings and other related meetings.
• Perform assigned job duties.
