Job summary

Redlands Christian Migrant Association in Florida seeks a dedicated Family Support Worker to build trusting partnerships with families and support their self-sufficiency through strengths-based planning and leadership development.

You will document family development services, collaborate with centers and community partners, and mentor families to achieve school readiness and long-term well-being for children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Participate in processes of assessing family eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance to support fit between families’ needs and program services.
• Conduct regular home visits to build skills in attachment, child development, advocacy, transitions, and parenting as a teacher.
• Help families develop a Family Partnership Agreement to support goal development as a life skill.
• Make referrals related to family goals, needs, children with special needs, family health, job and education services, and other services for family well-being.
• Strengthen community collaborations by maintaining knowledge of resources and attending interagency meetings and community events.
• Engage in regular Core Team and teacher meetings to discuss family development needs and progress.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and adhere to all RCMA funding and DCF requirements.
