Gulf Coast JFCS is seeking a Family Support Specialist to provide on-site individualized and family interventions in collaboration with case managers, foster parents, and other professionals. You will support issues such as substance use, stress, and daily living skills while helping families meet case plan goals.
The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of relevant experience with children or families; a valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 pounds are needed.

The Family Support Specialist is a non-exempt position responsible for providing on-site individual and family interventions. This individual works as a team member with a case manager, foster parents, primary caregivers, guardian ad litem, and other appropriate professionals. The Family Support Specialist provides assistance, intervention, and education related to issues such as substance abuse, adjustment and relationship issues, stress, daily living skills, budget training, and employment assistance.
Flexibility is required. Schedules will vary according to the clients' needs.
