Job summary

The State of Florida is seeking a Family Support Worker OPS within the Children and Families agency to assist in Child Protective Investigations and provide frontline client services for families.

You will coordinate transportation, maintain case files, enter data into FSFN, assist with benefits access, and support investigators while operating independently with sound judgment.

Location: Fleming Island, FL; position requires a valid driver's license and private vehicle for daily work tasks.

Qualifications

• Requires valid driver’s license.
• Private vehicle with proof of registration and insurance.
• 1+ year of paraprofessional experience in Child Protection or Social Work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide transportation for families.
• Maintain and update client files; manage records and logs.
• Input case information into FSFN; monitor incoming reports and disseminate per rotation schedule.
• Assist clients in identifying benefits and social services; help complete forms.
• Assist investigators in maintaining caseloads and related tasks.
• Draft and send case closure letters; handle related correspondence.
• Provide phone and client contact support; operate with initiative and sound judgment.
