Job summary

Center For Family Services seeks a Family Partner for the Promise Neighborhood Family Success Center in New Jersey. The role involves engaging families with dignity, conducting assessments, and linking clients to services while maintaining thorough documentation.

Responsibilities

• Attends required staff meetings and program activities.
• Completes documentation and reporting requirements.
• Reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey guidelines.
• Performs family assessments and links families to supportive services.
• Schedules two workshops monthly with community and faith-based organizations.
• Works with FSC staff to recruit parent volunteers and plan community events.

Salary: $18 per hour

Duties and Responsibilities

• Treats colleagues and family members as individuals with respect and dignity.
• Completes documentation and other reporting requirements.
• Attends all required staff meetings, program and Center For Family Services activities.
• Reviews progress in professional development and growth objectives periodically with
• Discusses family and staff issues, when necessary, only with designated appropriate staff.
• Reports any suspected child/elder abuse and neglect per New Jersey’s guidelines
• Conducts self as a role model in interactions with staff, colleagues and funding sources in
• accordance with Center For Family Services’ Code of Ethics.
• Performs an assessment with families that come to the Family Success Center.
• Makes monthly follow up phone calls monthly to families
• Links families to supportive services that help stabilize the home.
• Schedules at least two workshops and classes monthly with community and faith-based
• organizations to provide supportive services.
• Works with the Family Success Center Director to plan and implement community eventsto increase the number of families involved in the center.
• Works with the Bilingual Family Partner and FSC staff to identify and recruit parent volunteers.
• Conducts surveys with the community to determine needs and satisfaction with services
• at the Center.
• Provides childcare to parents while they attend workshops and other activities at the Center.

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in the field of Social Services required, College Credits towards a Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least two years' experience working with program population
• Current driver's license with a good driving record of at least three years
• Vehicle with current insurance and registration
