Job summary

NEMCSA is seeking a Family Services Coordinator to connect families with Head Start services and resources, ensuring enrollment and ongoing support. You will build partnerships with families to set goals, conduct home visits, and link services that promote stability and thriving for children.

The role emphasizes empowering families, collaboration with community agencies, and active parent engagement to improve outcomes and opportunities for the children we serve.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent credits in Human or Family Services and one year experience in Human Service field.
• Must have a working knowledge of computers.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll children and families into Head Start programs and maintain full enrollment.
• Partner with families to identify strengths, set goals, and develop individualized family partnership plans.
• Conduct home visits and provide ongoing support, advocacy, and follow-up services.
• Connect families with community resources, health services, and other supports to meet their needs.
• Encourage parent engagement and participation in program activities, leadership opportunities, and decision-making groups.
• Build relationships with community agencies to support children and families.
• Plan and facilitate family education activities, workshops, and events.
• Maintain accurate records and program data.

What You'll Do

As a Family Services Coordinator, you'll build meaningful relationships with children and families, helping them access resources, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. You'll serve as a trusted partner, connecting families to supports that promote stability, well-being, and success while ensuring children have the opportunities they need to thrive.

In this role, you will:

Requirements

What You'll Love About You:

• Associates Degree or equivalent credits in Human or Family Services or a related field and one year experience in Human Service field is required.
• Must have a working knowledge of computers.
• This job requires travel.
• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field is preferred.
