Job summary

NEMCSA is seeking a Preschool Teaching Assistant to help create a safe, engaging classroom where children learn and grow toward kindergarten readiness. You will support development across social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical areas while working with families and staff to ensure a positive learning environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing training, and a commitment to the well-being and health of children in the community.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, or a valid CDA credential.
• Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation.
• Ability to complete TS GOLD Inter-rater Reliability certification within one year of hire and maintain certification as required.

• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior support, and daily operations.
• Partner with families through communication, conferences, and home visits.
• Promote children's health, safety, and overall well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support school readiness goals.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
