Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a dedicated Family Service Worker to support youth and families under the DCS partnership. The role focuses on case management, crisis response, and tailored services to promote stability, permanency, and well-being.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s in social services with preferred Master’s. The position requires field-based work, strong documentation, and the ability to travel to families' homes, schools, and courts.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a social services discipline preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in social services required.
• Degrees in social work, psychology, counseling, or related fields may be considered.
• Experience with the Foster Care System and/or DCS preferred.
• Clinical experience and/or case management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written, verbal, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carries a caseload of 15 to 20 cases.
• Serves as a youth's guardian and must be aware of DCS policies that guide care and services.
• Creates and monitors permanency plans so that adequate services are provided.
• Delivers services in the family's home or wherever they need us (school, court, etc.).
• Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location).
• Ensures all medical, dental, and educational needs are met and accurately documented.
• Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
