Job summary

New LHRC External Career Site seeks a qualified social services professional to interpret laws and coordinate services within Virginia. The role includes interviewing clients, assessing needs, and developing service plans to ensure delivery of appropriate services.

Qualifications

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field or a bachelor’s degree in any field with at least two years of related Human Services experience.
Possession of a BSW or MSW degree and Virginia licensure is desirable.

Responsibilities

Interpret laws, policies and regulations as applied to specific areas of responsibility.
Coordinate services within specific areas of responsibility.
Interviews and assesses client needs and other relevant factors such as education, skills, abilities and supports.
Develop and implement service plans to ensure delivery of appropriate services to clients.
Provide case management services to monitor compliance and manage waiting lists.
Track expenditures and prepare budget estimates; ensure payment for services.
Coordinate with other agencies and participate in multi-disciplinary teams.
