Calumet County in Wisconsin seeks a dedicated child welfare case manager under the Family Services division. You will assess clients, develop and monitor service plans, coordinate with CPS teams, and provide counseling and support to maximize family functioning.

Court reports, testimony, and collaboration with agencies are routine parts of the role. The position requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field and at least two years in child protective services or a related area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited college.
• At least two years of experience in child protective services or related field.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional materials and regulations.
• Ability to write reports, court documents, and professional correspondence.
• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Completes individualized client and family needs assessments, including eligibility determination and plan development.
• Assesses family dysfunction and recommends appropriate services.
• Functions as a team member to develop intervention plans for high-risk families.
• Provides counseling, case management and coordination to maximize service access.
• Makes recommendations to the Court on disposition of child protection and delinquency charges.
• Writes court reports and testifies in Court; follows up on court-ordered services.
• Takes children into custody as needed; supervises CPS cases on formal or informal supervision.
• Conducts home studies for kinship care and coordinates services with other agencies.
