Job summary

Delcora in Kentucky is seeking a County Social Services Aide 3 to provide short-term supportive services to families facing child abuse or neglect concerns. You will assist with transportation, guidance, and practical help to staff and clients.

Duties include supporting family basics, monitoring visits, handling records, connecting clients with community resources, and collaborating with staff to implement safety plans.

Qualifications

• One year as a County Social Services Aide 2; or graduation from high school with three years of public contact work in a human services agency including interviewing and information gathering;
• An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences with one year of human services experience;
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Assist families in meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, and employment resources
• Provide transportation for clients to appointments, visits, and emergencies
• Observe family visits and report concerns and progress to staff
• Pick up and deliver records, letters, and documents for caseworkers
• Help clients connect with community services and participate in planning meetings
• Support staff with home visits, safety plan monitoring, filing, mailing, or clerical tasks
