Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a County Social Services Aide I to support Susquehanna County Children and Youth. This role assists clients and families with transportation, daily tasks, and coordinating important appointments, while ensuring safety and communication across services.

Responsibilities include transporting clients to appointments, helping with home care and budgeting, supervising children during visits, and handling clerical tasks to maintain orderly waiting areas.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent required.
• Must meet residency and basic job-function requirements.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Comply with Child Protective Services Law.

Responsibilities

• Escort clients to medical, dental, court, foster home and other appointments.
• Assist families with home care, meal planning, budgeting, childcare and daily living activities.
• Provide basic information and maintain communication when appointments are missed.
• Supervise children during office visits and in home crises.
• Pick up and deliver equipment, clothing, and other client belongings.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and maintain waiting/visiting areas.
