Job summary

Delcora in Kentucky is seeking a County Social Services Aide 3 to provide short-term supportive services to families facing child abuse or neglect concerns. You will assist with transportation, guidance, and practical help to staff and clients.

Duties include supporting family basics, monitoring visits, handling records, connecting clients with community resources, and collaborating with staff to implement safety plans.

Qualifications

• One year as a County Social Services Aide 2; or graduation from high school with three years of public contact work in a human services agency including interviewing and information gathering;
• An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences with one year of human services experience;
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Job description

This role provides short-term supportive services to families facing child abuse or neglect concerns. The position helps staff and families by offering transportation, guidance, and practical assistance. As a County Social Services Aide 3, you will perform the following duties:

• Family Support: Assist families in meeting basic needs such as food, clothing, housing, and employment resources
• Transportation Help: Provide transportation for clients to appointments, visits, and emergency situations
• Visit Monitoring: Observe family visits and report behaviors, concerns, and progress to staff
• Record Assistance: Pick up and deliver records, letters, and documents for caseworkers and other staff
• Community Contact: Help clients connect with community services and participate in multi-service planning meetings
• Staff Collaboration: Support workers with tasks such as home visits, safety plan monitoring, filing, mailing, or clerical needs

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• One year as a County Social Services Aide 2; or
• Graduation from high school, or its equivalency, and three years of experience in public contact work in a human services agency which included one year of experience in interviewing and obtaining information; or
• An associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences, and one year of experience in a human services agency; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements

• This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver’s license which is not under suspension.
