Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program (NYAP) is seeking a Family Services Coordinator in Newark, OH. The role includes advocating for youth and families, coordinating services, and supporting community-based interventions to help youth live safely in the community.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Social Work or related field and 2+ years of direct youth/family experience, with a license as required by state/contract rules. Evening availability twice weekly is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related Human Services field.
• At least 2 years of direct service experience with youth and families.
• Valid professional license as required by state or contract regulations.
• Willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in service of families of origin.

Responsibilities

• Actively supports, represents, and extends the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
• Provides in-home supportive services, transportation, parenting education, counseling, and advocacy to youth and families.
• Travels daily to provide community-based services in compliance with requirements.
• Completes all required documentation and trainings in a timely manner.
• Coordinates and monitors services for youth and family across mental health, medical, educational, and social services.
• Reviews and modifies youth-based plans to ensure progress toward goals.
• Maintains strong relationships with foster parents and families of origin.
• Supports family reunification and stable living arrangements per the case plan.
• Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization as needed.
• Meets productivity thresholds and participates in CQI activities and weekly supervision.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field
