Job summary

YMCA of Metro Atlanta seeks a Family Services Assistant at the Deans Bridge Road Early Learning Center in Augusta, GA. Under the Center Director, you will administer and evaluate services to children and families, focusing on Head Start and Early Head Start programs.

Responsibilities include coordinating health, nutrition, social services, education; maintaining documentation; making referrals; conducting home visits; building community partnerships; and supporting parent engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.
• Trained or have equivalent coursework in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development.
• 1+ years of experience in case management and/or family engagement/supports/advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and support delivery of health, nutrition, social services, eligibility and education for 0-5 Head Start/Early Head Start.
• Serve as a family advocate to promote child learning and family well‑being.
• Maintain required documentation per Head Start, BFTS, GA Pre‑K and YMCA policies.
