Job summary

Youth Villages seeks a Family Service Worker to provide family-centered, strength-based case management for youth from birth to 18, in partnership with Tennessee's Department of Children's Services (DCS). The role includes on-call crisis support, permanency planning, and delivering services in homes, schools, or courts.

Required is a Bachelor's degree in social services; a Master's degree is preferred and experience with foster care or DCS is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social services field required.
• Master's degree in a social services discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carries a caseload of 15 to 20 cases.
• Serves as guardian and adheres to DCS policies guiding care and services.
• Creates and monitors permanency plans to ensure services for youth and families.
• Delivers services in the family's home or wherever needed (school, court, etc.).
• Provides on-call crisis support; schedules vary by location.
• Ensures medical, dental, and educational needs are met and documented.
• Attends weekly meetings for development and booster trainings.
• Documents in an EMR system; performs other duties as assigned.
