Job summary

Minnesota Valley Action Council, Inc. is seeking a social service professional to plan and implement employment and training services across multiple grants. You will provide career counseling, direct client services, and case management, while building relationships with partners and service providers.

  • Coordinate the delivery of employment programs within the assigned service area, including understanding and implementing program rules and regulations, maintaining program budgets, and preparing reports to meet expected performance measures and service levels.
  • Provide case management services to help individuals establish, pursue, and maintain their employment goals.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with clients, co-workers, Workforce Center partners, human services agencies, and other service providers.
  • Supervise staff, interns, or volunteers as assigned.

OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:

Social service professional responsible for planning and implementing strategies to deliver employment and training services that help individuals obtain and maintain employment across a variety of programs and grants. Responsibilities include career counseling, direct client services, case management, resource networking, information and referral, crisis intervention, public relations, needs assessments, and group facilitation. This position may require supervision of staff or interns and requires compliance with State of Minnesota neglect/abuse reporting procedures.
