Job summary

Don Moyer Boys & Girls Club in Champaign, IL is seeking a Raising Resilient Children Parent/Caregiver Academy Coordinator to strengthen families and support children’s growth. You will manage programs, coordinate speakers, and lead outreach with schools and community partners.

The role emphasizes cultural competence, accessibility, and collaboration with local organizations to empower parents and caregivers through workshops and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, education, psychology, or related field.
• At least two years of leadership experience managing a social service program.
• Experience working with racialized minority families and communities, with cultural competence.
• Ability to build trust and relationships with diverse families.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to DMBGC’s mission of empowering youth.

Responsibilities

• Plan and contract with speakers for evidence-based parenting programs.
• Organize annual Spring Conference serving about 300 families.
• Lead culturally informed training sessions promoting inclusivity and trust.
• Educate families about child care assistance programs and access resources.
• Collaborate with schools and media to share program information.
• Create social content and assist with targeted ads and live Q&A sessions.
• Host information sessions at community venues and partner with leaders.
