Job summary

Halifax Health in Daytona Beach, FL, seeks a Practice Administrator for the Family Practice Center to oversee administrative and fiscal operations, front office, laboratory, and support services, and to liaison with medical and information systems departments.

Under the Medical Director and DME, you will lead scheduling, referrals, billing, budgeting, staff training, EMR updates, and quality assurance to ensure Joint Commission standards and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field.
• Experience in managing a physician practice.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise clinical and business staff and generate reports to improve productivity.
• Interact with patients and insurance carriers to resolve denials and billing questions.
• Handle patient complaints and manage discharges.
• Interview, hire, and train new employees.
• Prepare staff evaluations and manage discipline.
• Develop schedules for staff, faculty, and residents.
• Maintain ambulatory EMR and ensure Joint Commission standards compliance.
• Prepare operating budgets under the Medical Director.
• Sign off on employee timecards in Kronos.
