Job summary

Casey Family Programs is seeking a Family Developer to recruit, support and retain diverse caregivers who provide permanency for children in need. The role partners with Social Workers to complete family assessments and home studies, while ensuring licensing compliance and culturally responsive practice.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field and a minimum of five years clinical experience in child welfare or related practice.
• Expertise in permanency, improved well-being outcomes for youth in care, and family engagement.
• Clinical expertise in family systems, trauma- and healing-informed care, and knowledge of substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence.
• Experience in successful community engagement/recruitment and retention of resource families.
• Ability to relate well to children and families of varied cultures, orientations and socioeconomic status.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, maintain, support, coach, educate, and retain a culturally diverse complement of quality caregivers.
• Oversee licensing documentation, licensure/re-licensure, and placement processes for CPA/FFA.
• Plan and deliver pre-service orientation and ongoing training for resource families.
• Develop relationships with community resources and promote permanency planning.
