The Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) Family Partner works to provide information, support, assistance, and advocacy for recipients and/or caregivers/family members of ACCS clients. The role includes providing feedback on the mental health system regarding the impact and effectiveness of services, as well as offering counseling and support based on shared experiences as a peer and/or family partner. This helps validate clients' experiences and encourages their active participation in recovery.

Responsibilities include:

1. Providing expertise and consultation from a mental health/substance use consumer perspective to the team concerning clients’ experiences with symptoms, medication effects, treatment responses, and recovery.
2. Collaborating with the team to foster a culture that recognizes and respects each client’s point of view, experiences, and preferences, supporting client self-determination in treatment planning.
3. Assisting clients in identifying, understanding, and combating stigma and discrimination related to mental illness, and developing strategies to reduce self-stigma.
4. Helping team members understand and address culture-wide stigma and discrimination, working towards eliminating stigma within the team.
5. Raising awareness and supporting client participation in consumer self-help programs and advocacy organizations that promote recovery.
6. Serving as a liaison between the team and consumer-run programs such as self-help groups and drop-in centers.
7. Organizing and leading individual and group activities to help clients structure their time, increase social experiences, and practice social skills.

Schedule:

Full-time and part-time opportunities available with flexible schedules.

Hourly Rate: $20
