American Family Care Elizabeth is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) for urgent care in Elizabeth, NJ. This part-time role involves delivering high-quality care, managing patient care on shift, and supervising clinic staff.

The clinics offer an onsite lab, x-ray, and a flexible scheduling environment. Compensation is hourly and includes coverage of medical malpractice insurance.

Candidates must hold NJ NP/PA license, board certification, ACLS/DOT, and have urgent care experience.

Qualifications

• NJ medical license for PA or NP, NJ CDS card and Federal DEA license.
• Board-certification.
• ACLS and DOT certifications.
• Prior urgent care experience.
• Familiarity with occupational medicine.
• Comfort and experience treating patients of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Clinical ability to suture lacerations, drain abscesses, set minor fractures, read x-rays.
• Clean medical malpractice record.
• Effective and compassionate communicator with staff, patients, and family.
• Willingness to mentor clinical staff.
• Highly professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to multi-task effectively and work independently in fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work 12-hr weekday and 9-hr weekend shifts.
• High-energy individual with a positive attitude who is passionate about patient care.

Location Summary

Part-time position is for Advanced Practice Providers - Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and/or Physician Assistants (PAs) for urgent care in Elizabeth, NJ. The clinics provide high-quality walk-in medical care for treatment of acute illnesses and injuries. They also feature multiple exam rooms, digital x-rays, and an on-site laboratory. Position Description

Advanced Practice Providers report directly to Medical Director and are primarily responsible for delivery of high quality medical care to urgent care and occupational medicine patients. Mid-Level Providers must also: (i) actively manage all aspects of patient care while on-shift; (ii) supervise and direct the center’s other clinical staff; (iii) ensure that all charts are accurately completed in a timely manner; and (iv) adhere to all clinical policies and protocols. Our compensation plan is based on a highly competitive hourly rate. We also cover medical malpractice insurance expenses.
