Job summary

A-Line Staffing is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner for a primary care role in Medford, MA. Shifts are 3-4 days per week with a requirement to cover every other weekend. The position offers hourly compensation and full-time benefits for eligible staff.

Compensation starts at $75.00–$78.00 per hour with a focus on comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients aged 18 months and older. Expect EPIC documentation and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• FNP license required.
• 1+ year experience in primary care, urgent care, ER, internal/family medicine or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to patients 18 months and older.
• Perform advanced patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and order/interprete diagnostic tests per state licensure.
• Manage common conditions such as respiratory infections, UTIs, dermatologic issues, allergies, minor injuries.
• Deliver preventive care including vaccinations and health screenings.
• Document encounters in EPIC EMR and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for continuity of care.

Family Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, evidence-based primary care to patients 18 months of age and older in a primary care setting
• Perform advanced patient assessments, diagnose acute and chronic conditions, and develop treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and order/interpreting diagnostic tests in accordance with state licensure and clinical guidelines
• Manage common conditions including respiratory infections, UTIs, dermatologic conditions, allergies, and minor injuries
• Deliver preventive care services including vaccinations, health screenings, and routine physical examinations
• Conduct women’s health evaluations including pregnancy testing and STI screening; refer to OB/GYN for specialized care as needed
• Monitor and manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and asthma
• Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and preventive health strategies
• Document all patient encounters in EPIC - electronic medical records ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals
