Role and Responsibilities

A physician-owned clinic in Cumming is hiring a Family Nurse Practitioner to care for patients across all ages. You would work directly alongside the physician owner, managing acute presentations, chronic conditions and preventive care for a panel spanning pediatrics through geriatrics.

Call is phone only. No in-person call responsibility of any kind. The practice uses eClinicalWorks, a widely used system, so documentation will feel familiar if you have worked in outpatient primary care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary care across the lifespan, from pediatric through geriatric patients.


• Diagnose and manage acute presentations and chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia and thyroid disease.


• Perform well visits, preventive screening and health maintenance.


• Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic imaging, and coordinate specialty referrals.


• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications and preventive care.


• Document encounters accurately and promptly in eClinicalWorks.


• Collaborate with the physician owner on complex or ambiguous presentations.


• Provide phone coverage as part of a shared call rotation.

Qualifications
