Job summary

Venice Family Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide and coordinate care for General Surgery patients, adapt treatment plans, educate patients, and participate in interdisciplinary rounds, with a focus on safe continuity of care. Requirements include MSN or DNP with FNP, CA NP and RN licenses, CA NP certification, BLS, and at least 2 years outpatient experience.

Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• MSN or DNP with an FNP specialty is required.
• Current, valid CA Nurse Practitioner license and CA RN license required.
• State of California NP certification is required.
• Over 2 years of outpatient medical problem management experience required.
• Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills preferred.
• Working knowledge of health, mental health, and social services Agencies preferred.
• Ability to use Excel, Word and other software programs required.
• Ability to establish cooperative relationships with staff and providers.

Responsibilities

• Change treatment regimens after observing signs and symptoms and determine abnormal findings.
• Provide and coordinate care of General Surgery patients.
• Provide patient/family education and promote safe continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds.
• Provide education and support and make appropriate referrals.
• Document services rendered.
