Job summary

Venice Family Clinic in Venice, CA seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner to provide and coordinate care for General Surgery patients, adjust treatment and educate patients and families. You will participate in interdisciplinary rounds and make referrals as needed.

Requirements include MSN or DNP with FNP, CA NP and RN licenses, CA NP certification, current BLS, and at least 2 years in outpatient care. Spanish/English bilingual skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP with FNP specialty is required.
• Current, valid CA NP license and CA RN license required.
• State of California NP certification and National Board Certification required.
• Minimum 2 years outpatient medical problem management experience.
• BLS certification from ARC or AHA.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Change treatment regimen after observing illness signs and treatment reactions.
• Provide and coordinate care of General Surgery patients.
• Provide education and support to patients and families; make referrals as needed.
• Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds.
