Job summary

Venice Family Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide and coordinate patient care in Inglewood, CA. The role requires evaluating treatment regimens, coordinating general surgery care, and educating patients and families to ensure safe continuity of care.

Eligible candidates must hold an MSN/DNP with FNP specialty, CA NP and RN licenses, and BLS certification. Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred. Work schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm, with an indefinite, full-time position.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• MSN/DNP with an FNP specialty is required.
• Current, valid CA Nurse Practitioner License and CA RN License required.
• State of California NP, National Board Certification required.
• Demonstrated skill in delivery of patient care.
• Demonstrated work experience of over 2 years in management of outpatient medical problems.
• Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills preferred.
• Ability to utilize Excel, Word, and other software programs.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical, and academic personnel.
• Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction.
• Ability to set priorities.
• Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed, and grammatically correct correspondence.
• Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner.

Responsibilities

• Change the treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior, and physical condition.
• Provide and coordinate the care of General Surgery patients.
• Provide patient/family education and promote safe continuity of care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds.
• Provide education and support as well as make appropriate referrals.
