Job summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a patient-focused Family Medicine and/or Med-Peds Physician to join a value-based care model. This role emphasizes high-quality, coordinated outpatient care and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to improve population health.

The position is based at Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine in Danville, PA, with a strong emphasis on preventive care, chronic disease management, and on-site support resources including behavioral health collaboration and 24/7 nurse

Qualifications

• MD/DO required or equivalent.
• Experience with outpatient care and continuity of care is preferred.
• Familiarity with value-based care models is a plus.

• Provide 100% outpatient family medicine care.

Job Summary

Reimagine primary care with a focus on value, collaboration, and lasting patient impact.Geisinger is seeking a patient-focused Family Medicine and/or Med-Peds Physician to join our innovative value-based care model, delivering high-quality, coordinated care across the continuum. In this role, you will partner with interdisciplinary teams to manage population health, improve outcomes, and drive preventive care initiatives.Join Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine in Danville, Pennsylvania and become part of a nationally recognized health system that's redefining primary care.

Job Duties

Practice Overview and Schedule

• 100% outpatient practice
• 40-hour work week, including:
  • 36 patient contact hours
  • 4 administrative hours
• Clinic hours (subject to change):
  • Monday and Tuesday: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday - Friday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• One evening shift per week required
• Shared call and weekend rotation required (rotated among providers - subject to change)

Patient Care and Clinical Expectations

• Practice full-spectrum care for all ages
• 20- and 40-minute appointments, determined by acuity
• Collaborative care model with APP panel sharing (APP supervision required)

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation - salary ranges from $320k to $375k based on experience
• Recruitment incentives up to $250,000, including residency/fellowship stipend (not applicable for internal, lateral transfers)
• Continuing medical education - 15 working days and $4,500 CME funds
• Paid relocation (not applicable for internal, lateral transfers)
