Geisinger is seeking a Family Medicine or Med-Peds physician for its CommunityCare Hazleton clinic in Hazle Township, PA. The role focuses on full-spectrum outpatient care for patients of all ages in a collaborative environment linked with Geisinger.

The schedule is 40 hours weekly (36 patient contact, 4 admin) with one evening per week and shared call. Epic EMR and on-site services support delivery of care.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board-certified or eligible in Family Medicine or Med-Peds.
• Outpatient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum outpatient care for patients of all ages.
• Maintain efficient patient flow with 20- to 40-minute appointments.
• Collaborate with APPs and other clinicians in a team-based model.

Job Summary

CommunityCare Hazleton is seeking a Family Medicine or Med-Peds trained physician to care for patients of all ages at its growing primary care clinic in Hazle Township, PA.

Job Duties

CommunityCare, a Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike affiliated with Geisinger and qualifies for the National Health Service Corp Loan Repayment Program and the Pennsylvania Loan Repayment Program.

Practice Overview and Schedule

• 100% outpatient practice


• 40-hour work week, including:

• Family Practice clinic hours (subject to change):
  
  
  
  • Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  
  
  • Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  
  
  • Saturday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM rotation
  
  
  
  


• One evening shift per week required


• Shared call and weekend rotation required (1 in 12 - subject to change)


• Onsite services: ExpressCare (urgent care), Laboratory, Optometry/Eyewear Center, Pediatrics, X-ray, Ultrasound, Behavioral Health

Patient Care and Clinical Expectations

• Practice full-spectrum care for all ages


• 20- and 40-minute appointments, determined by acuity


• Collaborative care model with APP panel sharing (APP supervision required)

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation - salary ranges from $320k to $375k based on experience


• Recruitment incentives up to $250,000, including residency/fellowship stipend (not applicable for internal, lateral transfers)


• Continuing medical education - 15 working days and $4,500 CME funds


• Paid relocation (not applicable for internal, lateral transfers)
