Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking an experienced Family Medicine Physician to join a patient-centered, community-based health system in Washington. You will help develop practice standards, coordinate diagnostic and treatment services, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities include providing continuous care, supervising services, staying current with CDC guidance, and participating in policy development and call coverage.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of medicine with completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program.
• Board certified in Family Medicine.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in Washington state.
• Unrestricted DEA registration with prescriptive authority.
• Qualifies for FTCA or equivalent professional liability coverage.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical practice post-training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Render professional services within scope of training in compliance with laws and standards.
• Provide continuous care and supervise diagnostic and treatment services.
• Stay current on CDC guidelines and disseminate updates to staff.
• Complete medical records in a timely manner per policy.
• Devote full-time efforts to clinical practice; outside activities allowed if not affecting practice.
• Provide clinical consultation and be available for diagnosis and treatment questions.
• Participate in peer review for clinical privileges maintenance.
• Review test results and implement appropriate care for patients of absent providers.
• Participate in rotating call coverage with other physicians.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues and explain procedures.
• Contribute to goals and policies to improve medical management.
• Maintain relationships with referral sources and ensure follow-up.
• Attend conferences and continuing education events.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient flow and experience.
